The Québec Government Office in Ottawa: at the heart of the federal capital! [VIDEO]

2 novembre 2020

In September 2019, the Québec government announced the reopening of its office in Ottawa. The Ottawa office is now officially active, and to mark the occasion the Minister Responsible for Canadian Relations and the Canadian Francophonie, Sonia LeBel, recorded a message welcoming the Ottawa office back into the Secrétariat du Québec aux relations canadiennes family.

In defending and promoting Québec’s interests, the Ottawa office has a broad mandate to maintain relations with various stakeholders in the federal capital. More specifically, it is tasked with informing the federal government and other stakeholders in Ottawa about the Québec government’s policies and positions, and conversely with informing the Québec government about the policies introduced by the federal government.

This political mandate is combined with a key economic mission, as the Ottawa office promotes Québec and its enterprises to embassies and other institutions in the capital region.

The team at the Ottawa office is ready to respond to all your requests. You can contact one of its members if you have any questions!
