Content Compliance

This website meets the requirements specified in the document governing Québec public
service website accessibility standards : The following link opens in another window. Standard sur l’accessibilité d’un site Web (SGQRI 008-01).

For example :

  • The site can be browsed using a keyboard;
  • Font can be enlarged;
  • Text-background contrast allows viewing by users who have a visual impairment (e.g. colour-blindness);
  • Blind persons who use technical aid devices (Braille) and special software (Text To Speech program or TTS) can also consult the information content of the pages on the site;
  • Descriptions are added to the images which contain informational content;
  • Web page content is presented using style sheets that comply with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Cascading Style Sheets, level 2 (CSS2) standards;
  • Even when the browser's Java Script function is de-activated, links remain accessible;
  • The site uses XHTML 1.0 Transitional markup language.

Non-Compliant Content

As at May 11, 2012, some downloadable PDF (Portable Document Format) documents may not comply with the The following link opens in another window. Standard sur l'accessibilité d'un document téléchargeable (SGQRI 008-01) and cannot be accessed. However, efforts have been made to ensure that future documents are accessible and comply with the standard or to offer alternative versions that are accessible.

However, the Ministère du Conseil exécutif cannot guarantee accessibility to certain types of content from third parties which are not subject to the government standards on accessibility.

Validation of Non-Compliance of the Site

Validation of the site’s compliance with government standards on accessibility was carried out through HTML code validation techniques and functional validations using screen readers.
