Every year, the Government of Québec participates in some 80 intergovernmental conferences involving ministers, deputy ministers and premiers. These conferences deal with a wide variety of public policy fields: culture, health, justice, public safety, environment, finance, climate change, agriculture, etc. The Secrétariat aux affaires intergouvernementales canadiennes works in collaboration with Québec departements and organizations involved in the preparation of these conferences and in the elaboration of the positions that will be promoted by the Government of Québec. The Secrétariat is also present in all of these conferences in order to advise Québec's representatives on intergovernmental matters.
Participation in these intergovernmental conferences enables the Government of Québec to foster collaboration with other governments regarding concerns of mutual interest as well as sharing of information and best practices while ensuring the protection of its interests and the respect of its jurisdictions.
This section lists the dates and locations of the intergovernmental conferences that have been held over the last two years. It also contains the press releases issued at the outcome of these conferences.
